Where/when I grew up we used the same rubber ball for dodgeball and for kickball. The ball was the same, but the game was totally different.
The game of “Career” is like this.
Some people play it for the money, others for the status.
Most plumbers earn more than bankers. But bankers have big desks and fancy offices. One gets the trophy of cash, the other the trophy of status.
Some parents determine to work hard in order to take good care of their family, but by the end of their career have abandoned their family for their workplace.
It’s the same ball, but the game has changed.
