The Illusion of Choice

Q: How much choice do we have?
A: As much as we’re given.

We can choose what book to read, but only what the publishers choose to publish.

We can choose what to eat, but only from the items that the grocery store has chosen to stock.

We can choose what gym to join, but only from what’s open around us.

However, the internet has had a profound effect on this. You’re able to shop broader and circumvent traditional gate-keepers. Individual can self-publish books, you can have special ingredients shipped to your house, or do a live video-workout with someone (virtually) anywhere in the world.

Actionable Question:  How should I stop allowing my environment to limit my choices?

Broaden your choices,
